Saving the environment, its easier than you think with Kasu

Saving the environment, decreasing your carbon footprint… we all talk about it, we discuss it with our friends like we have a Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability, yet we all really struggle to grasp environmental change and to make a difference at a macro and community level.

This isn’t a bad thing, even large multinationals and corporates struggle with this too.

I get it, you put the recycling out each week and walk back down the driveway with a level of achievement in supporting the environment, (Don’t worry, I'm not being cynical… well maybe a little… I'm guilty of this too.. we all do it 😊)

However, there is another way to drive change and support our fragile planet and if you’re reading this, you’ve probably already come across the Kasu App.

Kasu was built with the aim of recycling and reusing single or low use items within your community.

We specifically built in an “EcoRating” engine that calculates carbon, energy and water you are saving on each item rented or borrowed into an aggregated “EcoRating” score.  This way you can track your environmental impact.

Our next release will take this one step further and allow you via the Kasu dashboard to be able to drill down and view / share those environmental metrics with your friends via social media, and hopefully drive a mindset that will gamify and build competition between communities and Kasu members… I mean look, if you’re going to save the environment lets at least make it fun 😊

Stay tuned for the latest updates from us, and feel free to get your house hold items listed on Kasu and start your journey towards saving the planet
